and what a weekend it was

we had quite the weekend at da cabin and celebrating mama's birthday. garrett got lots of lovin' all weekend long at the cabin from all the family. the fire was burning all weekend, weather was good, food was great, and the company even better. we think garrett really enjoyed his first trip to da cabin and can't wait to return for the reunion. we also spent some time at oma and opa's house to celebrate the big 32.

everybody's workin' for the weekend

last weekend auntie lindsay came to visit and we had a blast. we got to meet garrett's friend emma at a party on saturday, went shopping, rented a movie, and hung out. this weekend we are gearing up fot g's first trip to da cabin......and boy are we excited!!! we are leaving town tomorrow and are picking up uncle jack on the way. we'll be celebrating mama's birthday while we are up north this weekend. the fun never ends!

mother's day

we celebrated our first mother's day as mothers today and feel like the two luckiest moms on the planet. we hosted the families at our house for a mother's day party and had a blast. both sets of grandparents, great grams, uncle, and great aunts/uncles, and cousins joined the celebration.

also today garrett enjoyed his first food - a lovely brown rice cereal made by chef mama. he loved it and caught on very quickly to the whole idea of opening his mouth when the spoon was coming close. it was so adorable.......

the six month stats

garrett had his six month check up on wednesday and he is healthy and perfect.
he weighed in at 16lbs 11 1/2oz and he is now 28 inches long!

6 months old

Where has the time gone? Garrett reached the 6 month mark on Friday and he is doing wonderful. His favorite things to do are: roll around, play with his feet, read books with his moms, go for runs in the stroller,put anything in his mouth, and pet Zoe. Recently he's been able to get up on his hands and knees, so you know what is next!!! yesterday he went swimming at the pool for the first time and really liked it! here are some pics from our trip to visit grama & grampa and great grama & great great aunt margaret.
