busy bees

sorry for the in the delay in pictures, we haven't been very good about taking pictures lately and we've been super busy. we celebrated liz's 50 birthday last weekend and garrett got to meet the family from georgia. he also got to spend some quality time with grampa and the guys while his moms were off at the spa for a few hours. garrett loves hanging out with his uncle brett as always!!kennedy, chantelle, & g g & b
we've also been spending a lot of time with garrett's great aunt, second cousin, and her boyfriend who are visiting from germany. luckily garrett and mama had been practicing their german together before the family arrived. last weekend garrett and i took a road trip to ohio and had some fun at auntie lindz & auntie dana's shower. their wedding is coming up and garrett can't wait to were his tux!!

garrett has four teeth now , two on top and two on bottom and he's is pretty proud of them. he wasn't too bothered by their arrival, which was a relief. he's also been pulling himself up on occasion and he loves to show off how he can stand up (without help) while holding onto the couch or a chair. his favorite way of getting around is "army crawling" or "slithering" (as taylor very accurately describes it!) but not quite crawling on hands and knees. we are all excited for his first crane family reunion at da cabin later on this week - should be a blast!!

totally teething

garrett officially has his first tooth! there was something funny looking in his mouth this morning (i was in denial that it was actually a tooth) and upon closer examination this afternoon it is surely a tooth. his second one is not far behind and they are his two front (upper) teeth. we can't beleive g actually has a tooth/teeth!


backing up, we've been very busy since the last post, and apparently very busy without our camera (or charged camera batteries). we went to garrett's first wedding. our friends mark and jen were married up at camp, it was a beautiful wedding and a great time catching up with a bunch of old camp friends and their kids. we hit motor city pride on the way back downstate and got to see a bunch of friends, good times.


garrett continues to go to swim class ("splash around and sing songs class") and loves the water. 'course he was a natural in the pool back in early november. :) he also has been going to work with me on monday nights, which is a hoot, always making babbling noises at the quiet times during the group that i co-facilitate. he's been loving exploring all kinds of new foods, so far his favorites are green beans, avocado, sweet potato, and carrots.

grama and grampa came for a visit this weekend. grampa helped with all kinds of projects around the yard and garrett loved just hanging with grama. we stopped by a grad party on sunday and g was the life of the party, until the big thunderstorm hit, then mother nature stole the show, but only momentarily and g was back in the spot light!
