wedding fun

here are some quick shots from the wedding last night. it was absolutely wonderful!!

aunties lindsay and dana had a beautiful wedding and we were all very happy to be a part of it. it was held at a great old theater in cincinatti, ohio and there were lots of family and friends there. auntie lindz found little tux outfits for all of her nephews, and boy were they all looking good!

ohio wedding festivities

garrett was thrilled to see his mama who was in lake tahoe, ca for work for four days this week. she had fun but was missing garrett a ton. she made it home just in time to get a few hours sleep and wake up to drive to ohio on thursday.....

let the festivities begin - we are down in cincinnati, ohio getting ready for the wedding of auntie lindsay and auntie dana. garrett is such a trooper when it comes to travel, new environments, and new fun..... he slept the entire way here (almost four hours) yesterday, made it through pedicure/manicure fun with the girls, the rehearsal, a late-ish outing to a pizza place, and is still snoozing this morning while i'm catching up on emails. he tends to be a rather happy and mellow baby overall, smiling all of the time and content with life. he has started to "protest" a little when he initially gets redirected from things like the dog food & water bowls, or things that his moms don't think are good to play with, but as soon as he has an interest in something else, back to smiling garrett . cindy noticed yesterday that there was some activity in his mouth, yes two new teeth just underneath the surface. he does not seem at all bothered by his 5th and 6th teeth! they are on the top and i'm sure they'll be down in plain sight in a few short days. today we'll be doing some exploring in the morning around our hotel in newport, kentucky and then getting ready for the big event tonight!

new tricks & 4 of july weekend fun

garrett has been practicing some new tricks this week, but only when his moms aren't around. our awesome day care woman was out of town this week, so garrett spend some time with our friends while we went to work. trick number one: standing completely unassisted with his hands in the air. trick number two: walking along furniture. we tried to get him to show us, but it seems as if he's decided that he wants to keep us in suspense fora little while longer.

the three of us had a great time at the crane family reunion last weekend at da cabin. weather was beautiful during the day and very very cold at night. it was our first practice run for sleeping in the tent because we are going to be camping for a week in august. lessons learned: bring more blankets or sleeping bags. garrett loved hanging out with all of his family at the reunion and showing off his crawling/slithering skills in the yard.

we spend the second half of the weekend with mama's family, including her family from germany that flew back over the pond on sunday. we all had a great time visiting with them one last time during their vacation here.

we also managed to squeeze in a quick visit with garrett's friend amelia (and her mom melissa & aunt courtney) over the weekend. the two enjoyed playing in the pool outside.
