We know it's been awhile since our last update, we've been busy enjoying him during the weekends now that we are both back to work. Grampa and Grama came this weekend for a sleepover and Garrett had a great time (so did his moms).

garrett's week at home with mama cin

garrett had a wonderful week with mama cindy while mama sarah went to work (booo!). they did all kinds of neat things like going to vote, cooking dinner, making brownies, running errands, and lots of hanging out and bonding at home. plus this weekend grampa jay and great grama donna came by for a visit, which garrett loved.

we took garrett on his first trip to the eastern market this weekend. we had lots of company this weekend also, oma & opa came by on friday and mima and g-dawg came by on saturday. garrett loves spending time with his grandparents.getting all bundled up

garrett's pants have been starting to look like flood pants lately and he can't fit into some of his sleepers anymore, and now we know why......he's grown 3 inches since he was born!
garrett had his 2 month check up yesterday and he weighs 10lbs 15 ounces and is 24 inches long. he is a happy healthy boy. he also had his first shots, which were rough, although probably harder on his moms than on him!

grampa jay came for a sleepover this weekend. garrett showed off by smiling a lot but we couldn't catch him smiling while grampa was holding him, oh well!

back at ya

As of yesterday (when he was officially two months old!) Garrett has begun to smile back at us! We were unsure if he was doing this or not for the past week or so, but yesterday we determined that he was no longer just smiling randomly but likely in reaction to our voices/faces. Pretty exciting!
Cindy is off work for the rest of the month and the three of us are spending lots of time together, enjoying every moment! Today Garrett met the woman that will be providing childcare when we go back to work. It went well, aside from it becoming more of a reality that I will actually have to return to work and leave Garrett four days out of the work week. Luckily Cindy will be home on Fridays, so they'll have a whole day together of Mama & Garrett time. He goes back to the pediatrician on Monday, we are curious how much he has grown in the last month, it sure seems like a lot to us!
