we celebrated our first mother's day as mothers today and feel like the two luckiest moms on the planet. we hosted the families at our house for a mother's day party and had a blast. both sets of grandparents, great grams, uncle, and great aunts/uncles, and cousins joined the celebration.
also today garrett enjoyed his first food - a lovely brown rice cereal made by chef mama. he loved it and caught on very quickly to the whole idea of opening his mouth when the spoon was coming close. it was so adorable.......

Yes, you two are the luckiest Mom's on the planet. I also need to add that GRBC is one of the luckiests kids on the planet - to have you two as his parents.
I can't wait to cook up some ribs for GRBC at da cabin. He is looking like he is ready!

brown rice cereal....typical...hang in there tuff guy...i had to do it for 10 months and i know how you feel (ps - they hide girl scout cookies in the basement freezer..there should be a step ladder in the garage and always remember to shut the box like its never been opened)
